Creativity drives everything I do. From marketing, communications and leadership, to graphic design, copy writing and video production. When I am not doing that, I am in the mountains bagging my next peak, dropping into a run on my mountain bike or snowboard, or designing and fabricating in my studio. I like to keep busy, and I have a passion for learning and exploring, whether it’s a new mountain trail or a creative concept.
I look at what’s working, and what’s not. I unpack it, transplant it, and amplify it. I know what makes a brand stand out and I know how to create amazing experiences. My skill set allows me to work across multiple creative disciplines, and I’m never afraid to dive into the unknown. I thrive on getting my hands dirty on the front lines.
I’ve helped local startups enter global markets by leveraging powerful storytelling through a variety of mediums. I’ve refreshed and elevated struggling brands in highly competitive markets through hands-on creative work. I’ve built marketing teams from the ground up and incubated their success by providing them the tools and mentorship needed to thrive. I’ve ignited partnerships with industry influencers, financial institutions, global corporations and non-profits. None of that has happened conventionally.
Great ideas don’t come from inside the box. I leverage creativity to spark new thinking and put it into practice. In addition to my 13 year career in marketing and communications, my entrepreneurial endeavors have resulted in collaborations with Disney’s Imagineering team on theme park features, retail space concept designs for Google, interactive features for a Linkin Park album set, and a nano-lab that was sent into space.
I lead with ‘WHY’. That simple question goes a long way. If the ‘why’ can’t be communicated with 100% certainty, there’s an opportunity to do something better. I have an insatiable curiosity to learn based on that premise. Asking why opens doors. Communicating the ‘why’ opens more.
